I came across with this “health care seekers” when I was reading a medical journal. However, I am not quite sure what it means when they say “health care seekers”. Does it mean people who are interested in keeping their health fit? or Does it mean people who are trying to go to hospital to get medical check-up? or Does it mean who are already getting treatments?Also what does it mean by non health care seekers? My husband is in final stage alcohol cirrhosis of the liver. He is malnourished, weak, and falls a lot. He really needs full time care by medical professionals but I don’t know how to get him into a hospital. I have more or less made up my mind to hire a midwife for delivery at a hospital. I am currently visitng an OB and am comfortable with her taking prenatal care of me and baby.

So my question is can a midwife just come to attend deliveries like doulas or we need to see them throughout pregnancy ? Also, I shall like the same OB to be there in case of complications.

I recently carried my son to the local emergency room to have his leg stitched up. I just received a bill for over $1200 from the hospital. But during our visit, the emergency room appeared to be packed with illegal aliens. I would estimate that around eighty percent waiting were illegals. Is there some kind of special program that enables them to get emergency room care at a reduced cost? (I really didn’t see any that I would call emergencies) Are they jjust getting free checkups or something? Why so many in the waiting room without real emergencies, and do they pay anything?
