Need to address very important issue with HOSPITAL, whom do I direct this to?

I have witnessed what amounts to negligent care in the person of a close family member at this particular hospital. Now, there’s even a greater issue which needs to be directed. This is not something for the sweet, friendly patient relations staff. I cannot afford to have the run around on this. It needs to get to the most important head of the hospital. Which title would this person hold?

Probably best to address to the Hospital’s CEO; or President; or Chief Medical Officer (esp if problem with a physician) or the Chief Nursing Officer (esp if problem with a nurse).

Be sure you have your facts straight, otherwise no matter whom you speak with you may get blown off.

Hospital director but good luck trying to get ahold of them quickly. It isn’t like calling up a collector and asking to speak to their manager. And getting the top guy when you ask the first time around.

I’d call up the hosptial and just ask for that persons manager and then go up from there.

Recently my daughter had a broken leg and the hosptial goofed up big time. And that is exactly what I did.

Call you local ombudsman. Make sure you also file a police report. You have the right to file the police report, they might try to tell you, you don’t. The police do not like to deal with these issues. But site mathews V.S. california. In where the supreme court ruled it was a public crime and relevant to the police. Last call the hospital admin. So they don’t have time to cover it up.

Try patient advocacy or Patient care and compliance. Go to the human resource office and let them know you feel there has been a serious violation regarding a patient’s care and that you want to make a report with them and possibly the police department if you feel that the police may need to be called in. You must have evidence of your statements though, times, dates, names, locations, and so forth. Make sure it doesn’t get swept under the table. Make sure once the report is filed that you tell them you want it in writing and you want the outcome in writing so that you can be sure that the matter was handled in accordance to state laws and that the patient’s hippa rights were not violated while the investigation was conducted.

The proper thing would be to go up the chain of command to the Hospital administrators. If this leads nowhere or you don’t feel up to tackling them by yourself, hire legal representation who will be much more experienced in dealing with this type of thing. Nothing scares any organization more than a possible lawsuit, and a lawyer dangling Hospital Negligence or Malpractice will get their attention to do anything to stay out of court and out of the media.
